Tales from a Web Librarian

NYLA 2015

I had the great pleasure of presenting at NYLA this year, alongside Meredith and Laura. The conference was held in Lake Placid, NY and was truly one of my favorite conference experiences to date. It was wonderful to spend time with the "local" librarians in New York, share stories, and brainstorm future research projects and collaborations. Our first presentation was on 3D Printing and Education and drew quite a large and enthusiastic crowd! Our talk focused on the role libraries play in introducing new technologies to a larger audience as well as practical suggestions for purchasing and supplies. View our slides here.

Our second presentation, aptly titled 'Gettin Giphy With It', focused on creating gifs in library settings. This instructional, workshop-esque presentation was met with great discussion, laughs, and practical applications. View our slides here.

Thank you to everyone who attended our presentations and enriched the conversations with great insights! And of course, thank you to NYLA for having us present!
