Tales from a Web Librarian

MLA (Medical Library Association) 2019

I’m attending my first MLA conference in May this year in Chicago! The Medical Library Association (not to be confused with the Modern Language Association!) is entirely focused on the medical/health sciences side of librarianship. I’m looking forward to meeting more people in the community and learning about the variety of resources available for those in the medical field. I’ll be presenting two posters, too!

The first is about a study I’m conducting on medical library website homepages — I’m looking at Yale’s 13 peer institution’s medical library sites and analyzing the types of language, formatting, and design we use to convey our resources.

The second is a co-poster with Jamie Saragossi (SBU!) about the online dental instruments exhibit we developed at Stony Brook University.

See you in May!
